So I have embarked on a new exciting journey of hand made goods. To say I am loving it is an understatement.
One of my main goals in 2020 was to source items for my store locally. After months and months of trying to source the right items for my store, I took a look at myself and thought, I am DIY OBSESSED, I love making things, and I can't source more local than from myself, so here I am rocking into 2021 with a shed full of concrete and Jesmonite.
So I thought I would show you some of my fave handmade concrete items :)
This black concrete trinket dish has been the most popular item so far, and I can definitely see why with black being an extremely popular interior colour at the moment.
The terrazzo dish has also been super popular. These dishes do take a lot more manual labour than the concrete, and I think you can see why! They are truly beautiful pieces for the home, hand crafted with hours of sanding to get that smooth but terrazzo finish!
Customers use theirs in their kitchens, bathrooms and home offices.
The definition of Terrazzo is: Material consisting of chips of marble or granite set in concrete and polished to give a smooth surface
I can do the terrazzo in any colour combination and in any shape that already exists in concrete.
I really enjoy using this material as it's so easy to colour.
